Sam Tabar, who lives in the city of New York, has worked in both the legal and financial industries during his 16 year career. He started out in the legal field in 2001 and transitioned to the financial industry in 2007. In 2000 he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and in 2001 His Master’s Degree in Law from Columbia Law School.
Once he had graduated from Columbia Law School, Tabar started working for the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Associates as an Attorney. His responsibilities at this firm included providing his legal advice in a number of areas.
The areas of the law he was specialized in include mergers and acquisitions, compliance, employment contracts, investment management agreements, fund formation, and the acquisition of fund managers. He continued working with this law firm for almost 6 years.
In 2007, Sam Tabar joined Sparx Group/PMA as its Managing Director. Sparx Group/PMA is an equity and credit asset management company that is headquartered in Japan. While with this company Tabar had a number of accomplishments including launching new funds and raising over $500 million in assets under management. He also established a global client base with over 850 individuals around the world.
In 2011 Tabar saw an opportunity to advance his career at Merrill Lynch and served as the Director and Head of Capital Stragegy. In his 2 years with Merrill Lynch he burnished his ability to make capital introductions between high net worth individuals and institutional investors.
In both of his years at Merrill Lynch he was ranked #1 at the company for Capital Introductions.
In December 2014 Sam Tabar made Partner at FullCycleFund, a venture capital firm in New York. At this firm, he is tasked with raising capital and overseeing day-to-day operations involved with administration, legal, tax, accounting, and compliance issues.
According to Bloomberg, Sam Tabar has continued to develop capital introductions and has developed a list of over 450 investors he works with. Through a mix of his legal and financial industry experience Tabar is perfectly suited for this role.
